Allison Cara Tolman is an American actor from the United States. The actress is most famous for her performance as Molly Solverson in the first season of the FX television series Fargo,earning Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. Tolman grew up with three older siblings and one younger. The family moved out of England into Sugar Land in Texas, when she was the age of a newborn. She lived for the subsequent five years living in Oklahoma and West Texas, before moving to Sugar Land, Texas. At the age of 10, Fort Bend Community Theatre began providing acting classes. Clements High School graduated her in 2000. She received her diploma from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatrical performance. In Dallas following her graduation from college, she became one of the founders of Second Thought Theatre. After that, she moved from Dallas to Chicago in 2009, where she attended The Second City Training Center for acting classes. Tolman made her debut in Fargo, a black-comedy crime drama on FX. Inspired by The 1996 Coen brothers' film of the same title, Fargo starred veteran actors Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman as well as Bob Odenkirk. The show was canceled on May 21, 2020, after only one season despite "pretty strong" viewership, according to Tolman. The actress was also an guest on the show on NBC called Good Girls.
